A 67-year-old Trump supporter was recently arrested and charged after he hit a 12-year-old girl in the face with a flagpole during a Trump rally in Florida.
The Orange Park, Fla. man, identified as Norbert Logsdon Jr., was arrested and charged with child abuse without great bodily harm. According to the Florida Times-Union, he was later released on bail.
According to a Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Logsdon was attending and participating in a sidewalk support event for President Trump when he became involved in a verbal exchange with the girl and her mother , who was riding in a nearby car.
The mother and daughter were turning into a nearby restaurant and when the mother taunted the Trump supporters, Logsdon “got upset” and that’s when he came toward the car with the flagpole.
A Facebook video seems to show Logsdon go up to the vehicle and actually stick the flagpole into a car window and strike the girl. A voice, which appears to be coming from the girl, says, “He just hit me.”
A deputy who later interviewed the girl reported redness on one side of her face.
“I did observe redness to the victim’s right face,” the deputy wrote in the report.
Another video posted on a Facebook appears show the same man with his flag – which says “Trump 2020 No More Bullshit” – confronting another woman in the same location and yelling at her. Someone is heard shouting, “Leave her alone!”
He huffs at the woman and says, “I don’t need to wear a mask. I’m not voting for Biden.”
