President Trump spend months campaigning about how he would finally be the president to “solve North Korea.” Now that he has to put on his big-boy pants and actually get to work, he admits that it just might not be as easy as he once thought.
This became glaringly apparent last week while Trump was hosting Chinese President Xi Jinping at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. CNN’s Anderson Cooper was left speechless while dissecting the meeting between Xi and Trump, expressing disbelief that following a ten-minute conversation with Xi about the complicated history between China and North Korea Trump decided that a solution is “not so easy.”
“After listening to the Chinese president explain the history of China and North Korea for about ten minutes,” Cooper said, “he, ‘realized it’s not so easy,’ Is that — I’m speechless…” Followed by, “I don’t know why I’m reacting like this.”
Christiane Amanpour, CNN’s Chief International Corespondent, noted that Trump “said the same thing about healthcare” shortly after becoming president, saying “nobody knew” fixing healthcare “could be so complicated.”
