Kellyanne Conway Now Under Massive Special Counsel Investigation for Breaking Federal Law

Kellyanne Conway might soon find herself on a date with Henry Kerner of the OSC  or Office of Special Counsel, which is the tiny agency charged with investigating ethics complaints such as Hatch Act violations.

The Hatch Act prohibits any executive branch employee from using their government positions to influence elections, which is what Conway did just last week when she railed against the Democratic contender for Alabama Senate.

Conway appeared on Fox & Friends — because of course she did —- and she was introduced in her official capacity within the Trump administration. Without any real prompting, during a discussion about the impending tax bill, Kellyanne popped up with “And Doug Jones in Alabama?

Folks, don’t be fooled. He’ll be a vote against tax cuts. He’s weak on crime, weak on borders. He’s strong on raising your taxes. He’s terrible for property owners.”

The Alabama Senate race in question has become the messiest of recent years. President Trump suffered the ignominy of having stumped for Luther Strange, only to watch him bested by Steve Bannon’s pick: Roy Moore. The events that followed have been surreal and damaging to the Republican brand as well as that of the Christian Conservative subset.

As the allegations of Roy Moore’s sexual misconduct are denied, excused, or whitewashed by Republicans — a light has been cast upon the otherwise shadowy topic of what “conservatives” really believe about sex. The uncomfortable truth is that the family values brigade is a whole lot more comfortable with a district attorney preying upon young teenage girls than anyone thought.

Apparently, as a collective, the GOP has unofficially decided to ride the Roy Moore train until the wheels fall off. Kellyanne Conway illustrated this on the Fox & Friends interview in question when she added, “If the media were really concerned about all these allegations and that was what this was truly about with the Democrats, Al Franken would be on the ash heap of bygone, half-funny comedians.”

After a host pointed out that even the Republican National Committee had officially withdrawn its support for Moore, Conway still felt compelled to fire another shot against Doug Jones. “Nobody ever says his name… and they pretend he’s some kind of conservative Democrat, and he’s not.

Mr. Kerner, your country needs you now more than ever before. Please come collect Kellyanne Conway.
