She may just be the Assistant to the President, but it is clear that she has his attention – and he listens to her.
Following the air strikes on Syria, The New York Posts suggested that Ivanka may well have been the most powerful influence over her father in his decision-making process. The Post said her “intervention may have tipped the balance.”
This conclusion comes from two separate sources. The first is a tweet Ivanka shot out in response to the chemical weapons attack on the Syrian people. She said, “Heartbroken and outraged by the images coming out of Syria following the atrocious chemical attack yesterday.”

The second source was The Sunday Times of London, who reported that a memo from the British Ambassador to Washington to Prime Minister, Theresa May said that Ivanka was deeply concerned, and this was likely a “significant influence in the Oval Office.”
