Russian President Vladimir Putin has vehemently denied connection to the DNC hacks and leaked emails that tainted Clinton’s campaign. U.S. intelligence has, however, now pointed the finger directly at Russia. Russia apparently hacked Hillary to make sure Trump became president of the United States. And it worked.
This small team of data scientists has made an algorithm that is turning a giant 19 billion dollar industry up-side-down.
According to The Guardian, Sergei Markov, a pro-Kremlin political analyst, dropped a hint that Russia had been behind the email dump. Following Trump’s win, he “was jubilant at the result and said a Trump presidency would make it more likely the US would agree with Russia on Syria.”
Markov also said it would mean less American backing for ‘the terroristic junta in Ukraine.’ He denied allegations of Russian interference in the election, but said ‘maybe we helped a bit with WikiLeaks.
Putin was the first foreign leader to reach out Trump and congratulate him on his win and said he wanted to mend the relationship between our two nations.
We understand that it will not be an easy path given the current state of degradation in the relations,” he said, speaking in the Kremlin.
“And as I have repeatedly said, it’s not our fault that Russian-American relations are in such a poor state. But Russia wants and is ready to restore fully fledged relations with the United States.”
It doesn’t get any clearer than that, folks.
