According to reports, Fox News will soon air a campaign ad for embattled anti-Trump Rep. Liz Cheney (R. WY) featuring former VP Dick Cheney, who is also her father, blasting former President Donald Trump.

Cheney’s campaign spokesman, Jeremey Adler said the ad will air twice daily through this week on “Fox & Friends” and once a day during Sean Hannity’s prime-time program “Hannity,” two of the network’s most watched programs.

Adler told The Hill:

“It’s important not only for Fox News viewers, but for the network’s hosts and top executives, to hear former Vice President Cheney’s warning about the ongoing danger Donald Trump and his lies post to our constitutional republic.”

Cheney’s latest campaign ad featuring her famous dad has gained lots of media attention since it came out last week. In the ad, the elder Cheney goes off on Trump, calling him as a “coward” and a “threat to our republic.”

He continues in the ad:

“In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump. He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him.

He is a coward. A real man wouldn’t lie to his supporters. He lost his election, and he lost big. I know it, he knows it and deep down I think most Republicans know it.”

The ad concludes with Cheney saying:

“There is nothing more important she will ever do than lead the effort to make sure Donald Trump is never near the Oval Office again. And she will succeed. I am Dick Cheney. I proudly voted for my daughter. And I hope you will too.”

Rep. Cheney has come under fire from many fellow Republicans for being a staunch critic of former President Trump and accepting a role as the vice chairwoman of the House select committee that is investigating the Jan 6., 2021 attack on the Capitol and Trump’s role therein.  Cheney was censured by the Wyoming GOP after her vote to impeach Trump and is now facing an uphill battle for reelection against Harriet Hageman in Wyoming’s upcoming primary election.

According to a July Casper Star-Tribune poll, Cheney was trailing Hageman 52 percent to 30 percent.
