Many psychologists have been observing Donald Trump’s campaign for president and have come to a similar conclusion: He is mentally ill.
We’re not making a joke, either, as mental illness is not funny. Several prominent psychologists have said that Trump displays a textbook case of narcissistic personality disorder.
Vanity Fair talked with psychologist Ben Michaelis who said Trump absolutely displayed “Textbook narcissistic personality disorder.” Another clinical psychologist, George Simon told Vanity Fair:
Here is the actual, textbook definition of narcissistic personality disorder, from the Mayo Clinic:
“If you have narcissistic personality disorder, you may come across as conceited, boastful or pretentious. You often monopolize conversations. You may belittle or look down on people you perceive as inferior. You may feel a sense of entitlement — and when you don’t receive special treatment, you may become impatient or angry. You may insist on having “the best” of everything — for instance, the best car, athletic club or medical care.”
If that isn’t Donald Trump, nothing is. Watch Donald Trump tell the Morning Joe crew on MSNBC who his top advisor is:
That is insane. Donald Trump believes he has “a good brain” and therefore can learn what he needs to learn to be president just based on his own instinct and past decisions.
There are few words for how incredibly insane that is. Ultimately, it will be the downfall of his campaign. Surely there are people in his inner circle giving him different advice than he gives himself, but he won’t listen, and it’s going to cost him the White House. Thank God.
