Pop star Lizzo responded to Kanye West’s fat shaming when she told a Toronto crowd that she’s minding her “fat Black beautiful business.” West made the comments in a strange interview with his fellow misogynist Tucker Carlson of Fox News.

West claimed in the interview with Carslon that “bots” attack Lizzo for losing weight and media organizations promote her “unhealthy” weight.

West said:

“Let’s get aside from the fact whether it’s fashion and vogue, which it’s not, or if someone thinks it’s attractive, to each his own, it’s actually clinically unhealthy.”

During her “The Special Tour” on Friday, Lizzo addressed the comments, but didn’t mention Kanye West by name:

“I feel like everybody in America got my motherf****** name in they motherf******* mouth for no motherf”****** reason. I’m minding my fat Black beautiful business.”

She later sarcastically asked the crowd at Toronto’s ScotiaBank Arena if she could stay in Canada and who she might marry to acquire dual citizenship.

Recently, comedian Aries Spears also took some personal shots at Lizzo about her weight and appearance, and the internet rushed to defend her, as Spears is an overweight black man and doesn’t have room to talk about other’s weight.

Spears was simply asked if he thought Lizzo’s music was a significant and important, and instead chose to insult her looks, saying he can’t get over the fact that she “looks like the s*** emoji” and added that he thinks she has a pretty face, but a terrible body.
