According to new report/poll from Politico, MAGA extremist Rep. Lauren Boebert (R. CO) could lose her congressional seat in the upcoming mid-term elections.

Axios writes that congresswoman, known for her often bizarre, controversial, and offensive statements and actions, is “dangerously close to being upset by a little-known Democratic rival,” citing a new poll from Keating Research that shows her leading Democrat Adam Frisch by a only two percentage points.

Axios notes that while Keating is a Democratic pollster, it has a reputation for being “one of the most accurate pollsters in Colorado.”

While 2022 is expected to be a good year for Republicans on ballots across the country, the poll indicates that Boebert is  underwater big-time among independent voters in her district, who are for the most part shifting toward her Democratic opponent.

Colorado’s 3rd District is strongly Republican, with a Cook Political rating of an R+7 district, which is a big advantage for Boebert.  Boebert could theoretically lose independent voters to Frisch and still win her race if the Republican base turns out strong for her.

Keating recently  told Axios tthat as long as Boebert remains under 50 percent, “that means she is vulnerable to losing this race.”

Boebert, a fundraising juggernaut and supporter for Republican candidates across the country, currently has a 98% chance of winning a second term, according to FiveThirtyEight polling.
